PANINI S.P.A. IS IN DEEP MOURNING: ARRIGO BELTRAMI, THE HISTORICAL EXECUTIVE OF THE MODENESE COMPANY, HAS PASSED AWAY

 

Arrigo Beltrami, General Manager of Panini and historical Executive of the world leader in the published collectables industry, suddenly passed away yesterday in his house in Modena.

 

71 years old, of Modenese origins, Beltrami started his career at Panini in 1969 after having worked as professional journalist for “la Gazzetta dell’Emilia” and “Il Sole 24 Ore”. He previously collaborated with the founder of Panini S.p.A., Giuseppe Panini. Beltrami was widower since the death of his wife Luisa in 1988. He had two children - Marco and Paolo – and two grandchildren.

 

During his 40 years’ career Arrigo Beltrami has held several offices. In the Seventies he became Editorial Director, realising several world- famous publications, such as “Calciatori” and “L’Amanacco Illustrato del Calcio”. In October 2003 he was named Managing Director and the following year he was rewarded for his outstanding work with the so called “Stella al Merito del Lavoro”. Arrigo Beltrami was greatly appreciated not only at Panini but also in Modena because of his strong character, his remarkable professional capacity and irony.

And Arrigo was one of the biggest protagonist. All employees in Italy and in overseas subsidiaries huddle today with his family in memory of a friend and a great professional”.

The chapel of rest will be set up at Panini S.p.A.,  Viale Emilio Po, 380 Modena. Visitors can enter the chapel on Thursday July 22^nd from 2.00 p.m.

The funeral will be held Friday, July 23rd at 11:00 am at Modena Cathedral.
